Starting August 11, the latest Battle Royale title from Ubisoft will be launching for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Hyper Scape is currently in open beta for the PC and will open to a much wider audience shortly after open beta ends on August 2.

Announcement of the first season entitled “The First Principle” comes with a trailer, which you can view below:

Season One kick-starts the overarching Hyper Scape narrative: There is a mystery in the Hyper Scape created by Prisma Dimensions that players will have to solve. Season One introduces Memory Shards that players can collect to discover more about certain characters and events. Every week, a new Memory Shard will be hidden in the game world, for players to find and collect. In addition to Memory Shards, comics will be released during Season One and following Seasons, building Hyper Scape’s story.

Along with the console launch, Hyper Scape will be offering cross-progression on all platforms, allowing players to pick up right where they left off from the open beta. Hyper Scape will also introduce a brand new mid-range weapon, the Dragonfly, as well as a new hack, Magnet, which can be used to trap unsuspecting contenders.

The first Battle Pass will also be available and will include a ton of customization items through a free and premium track, which will cost 950 Bitcrowns, the in-game currency.

During the Ubisoft Forward presentation, it was announced that Hyper Scape is now in Open Beta for PC effective immediately and will launch later in the Summer for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Hyper Scape is a free-to-play fast-paced urban battle royale first person shooter that takes place in the distant future of 2054, where up to 100 Contenders descend upon the virtual city of Neo-Arcadia to engage in action-packed and fast-paced matches to be crowned champion.

As part of the launch of Open Beta, a new mode called Crown Rush Solo will make its way into the game, which is basically the free for all variant of the currently available Crown Rush Squad mode. Additionally, 2 new limited time modes called Hack Runner Squad and Turbo Mode Squad will also make its way to the game.

Hyper Scape is also adding new features to the Crowncast Twitch extension, including Battle Pass progression by watching Hyper Scape Twitch streams and the ability for streamers to invite viewers into their squad.

The Hyper Scape Open Beta will include a free 30 tier battle pass alongside an in-game shop offering additional customization options. All Open Beta progress and items will carry over through future live phases and into the full launch, across PC and console.

Hyper Scape is scheduled to launch Season One later in the Summer for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

After initial reports, the cat is finally out of the bag. The 100-person free to play battle royale game Hyper Scape is now official and it is the latest entry into the thriving scene from Ubisoft.
