You can pre-load Final Fantasy 7 Remake a week earlier, release still set for April 10
No no, that’s not a typo. You’re reading it correctly, you’ll be able to pre-load your digital copy of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake in advance, as early as April 3.
Please note that pre-loading is not the same as the release date. The release date of the game, digitally, will remain scheduled for April 10 but players will be able to download the game a week earlier to give people time to prepare for the massive download and install size.
Twisted Voxel has put out a report on this and multiple users from Reddit and Resetera and confirming the change in pre-load dates.
This is most possibly due to the announcement that Sony will be throttling PSN download speeds due to the COVID-19 outbreak situation.
Meanwhile, users in Europe and Australia are receiving their copies of the Remake earlier than expected. Lucky!
