First look at next gen gameplay courtesy of the Xbox Series X happening on May 7, includes Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Microsoft was not joking when it said that we wouldn’t have to wait very long to see some of that next generation goodness.
In a tweet by the official Xbox Twitter Account, May 7 is going to be a big day for gamers out there as we get a first look at the the Series X has to offer, which will be premiering on Inside Xbox at 8AM Pacific / 11PM Philippine time.
Exciting news indeed, as Microsoft will look to be the first to draw blood in the ongoing console battle with Sony and the PS5, who has yet to unveil their next generation offering.
Aaron Greenberg, the General Manager of Xbox Games Marketing, clarified that the premiere will showcase third party games and not games under the first party Xbox Games Studios just yet, so fans looking for exclusives will have to wait a little while longer.
One of the titles lined up for the showcase next week will be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, as confirmed by the Ubisoft Nordic Twitter Account. Players will get to take control of the fearsome Viking named Eivor in the midst of a power struggle during the dark ages of England.
Considering we’re still about 6 more months away from the release of the Series X and the PS5, this event will be the first of many showcases leading towards the holidays where the next generation consoles will finally make their way into our homes.
We can’t wait.
