Assassin’s Creed Valhalla romance options will not be restricted based on gender
When Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases on November 17, players will have a chance to step into the shoes of Eivor, who can either be male or female depending on player preference. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey employed a similar system, but had you choose between Alexios and Kassandra, with story variations between the two.
In a recent episode of IGN News Live, Youssef Maguid from Ubisoft offered a telling fact about how romance options will be handled in Valhalla. It was a short statement, but something that opens up the game to numerous possibilities.
According to Maguid, “there are multiple people you can romance in the game, and you can romance all of them as either gender.”
While no other details were given like how many possible romance options there are and will it lead to anything more than that, it is at least clear that whichever gender you choose, you won’t be missing out on any action that the game will give you. This is a major change from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and we can only imagine for now how the story and the world will open up based on this change.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is scheduled to release on November 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions coming in a launch titles.
