NBA 2K21 Demo now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch

If you’re looking at a way to try out NBA 2K21 without the purchase commitment, you’ll be glad to know that the current-gen demo is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

This year’s demo includes four playable teams – Tap into your Mamba mentality with Kobe Bryant and the All-Time Lakers, experience greatness with the iconic Bill Russell and the All-Time Celtics or dominate the court through Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kawhi Leonard with NBA title contenders Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers.

One of the biggest changes to 2K21 is the Pro Stick redesigned shooting system, which you’ll be able to familiarize yourself with by downloading the demo. Here is a quick summary of what’s changed

  • Hold Right Stick (RS) down = jump shot
  • Hold RS left or right = escape dribble moves
  • Hold RS up = signature size-ups
  • Tap the RS = quick 1-to-1 dribble moves
  • Tap the RS with Sprint held = quick momentum dribble moves

The demo will also let the players try out the ever popular MyPLAYER Builder, which you can carry over to the game when it launches on September 4.

All player ratings will be updated to reflect the current season, which is why NBA 2K21 will be releasing the ratings in time for the release of the game for the next generation consoles.
