Following the announcements made by Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog about PS5 compatibility, Santa Monica Studio confirms God of War and God of War III Remastered will be playable on the PS5.

A social media post by Sony Santa Monica says that the 2018 game of the year and the 2015 remaster will make its way to the PlayStation 5 along with title from development partners such as “Journey, The Order: 1886, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and much more!”

Similar to Naughty Dog’s announcement, it was not made clear whether these titles will be playable with increased frame rates, but it would be a safe bet to take given the generational leap in hardware capabilities. After all, seeing Kratos and Atreus defy all odds once again in buttery smooth 60FPS is an experience worth taking again.
