People are pulling some Fast & Furious stunts to loot trucks carrying PlayStation 5’s
In what is certainly a news item worthy of 2020, British newspaper The Times is reporting that lorries carrying the highly coveted PlayStation 5 consoles are being raided ala Fast & Furious. What the actual fuck.
If by any chance you haven’t seen any of the films yet, these gangs are basically pulling up to the trucks, opening up the doors, and looting the cargo, all while running at highway speeds. It’s certainly a crazy stunt to pull for some item worth $500, but when a lot of people are paying double or even triple the price just to get hold of one, then it definitely is worth the risk for these people.
Below is an example of how the robberies are being executed:
Furthermore, the report claims that these “rollever” incidents, as what they call it, have surged in the past weeks, and the PS5 may be to blame.
The PlayStation 5 is set to launch locally later this week on December 11, and while the traffic here effectively prevents stunts like this, we advise lucky buyers to take caution, especially as it is holiday season as well.
