As rumors of a new Silent Hill game keep floating about, Bloober Team and Konami have announced that they are entering into a strategic cooperation agreement, which will see both companies “jointly developing selected contents and exchanging know-how.”

Piotr Babieno, president of the Bloober Team, says that “It is a historic day for me and the culmination of several years of our work. The fact that such a renowned company as KONAMI has decided to strategically cooperate with the Bloober Team means that we also joined the world leaders in gaming and became an equal partner for the leading players in this market.“

It’s been widely speculated for months that Bloober Team may indeed be working on a Silent Hill title, as a report from February sees Babieno also quoted as saying that they are working on another horror IP with a very famous gaming publisher. It has also been reported that a second Silent Hill project is in the works with a Japanese Developer.

Is it Silent Hill? A totally different project? Maybe it’s all just smoke? We hope to find out soon!
