Elden Ring Hits Massive Numbers On Steam For Its Second Weekend
Elden Ring, arguably one of 2022’s biggest releases, is also marking its territory on Steam as one of the biggest games on PC right now. Despite its inherent difficulty and Soulsborne roots, players can’t seem to stop playing, with the game reaching a peak of almost a million players in the last 24 hours.
Reported via PC Gamer (via SteamDB), the game reached its peak concurrent player count of 953,426, which now puts it at 6th place overall all time, beating the likes of New World and Valheim. Considering that PC performance of Elden Ring was the hot topic since its release, it seems that players don’t mind it too much, with over 900,000 players in the game as of writing.
There’s no denying that the game is a massive hit for FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, which many are already calling the Game of the Year for 2022 even as soon as it was released. The game gathered exceedingly glowing reviews from critics all across the board, making it one of the highest-rated games ever on both Metacritic and OpenCritic.
