Starfield’s Main Quest Line Will be Around 30 to 40 Hours Long
Featured heavily during the recent Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Todd Howard has since confirmed that Starfield’s main quest line will take players around 30 to 40 hours to complete, roughly 20% bigger than games like Skyrim and Fallout 4.
Starfield Game Length
During an interview with IGN, Howard confirmed the length of the game, and that’s without even doing side content along the way. Chalking it up to more quests, Howard says “This one’s ending up a little bit longer [than our previous games] and we may tune that some still. It’s more quests, so it might be 20% more than our previous ones.”
“[Starfield] might be in the 30s, maybe 40.″
Of course, mileage may vary, and if you know how Bethesda games work, then you’ll know that they are notorious for the breadth of side content and things to do in the game that can easily boost your gameplay to over a hundred hours.
On top of the promised 1,000 planets to explore in the game, you can also expect the PC modding community to add more and more content to the game, easily upping the replay value through the roof, just as how Skyrim is still being played for over a decade now.
Starfield launches in 2023 for the Xbox Series X|S and PC.
