Netflix has announced that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will premiere on September 13, 2022 and will feature a standalone story with 10 30-minute episodes.

Alongside the announcement, a new “NSFW” trailer was released to hype up the upcoming release of the animated series, looking extra slick and shiny thanks to the efforts of Studio Trigger (SSSS. Gridman, Promare, Kill La Kill).

We are also introduced to Lucy, a new character in the series that is described as innocent-looking but can easily take out the opposition in the blink of an eye.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
