Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier Ends Service in January 2023
Square Enix has announced that its free-to-play battle royale title, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, will be ending service on January 11, 2023.
“Despite all our efforts to bring you regular updates with fresh and exciting content, we haven’t been able to deliver the experience that we were hoping to, and that you all deserve, so we have made the extremely tough decision to end service for Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier,” the message says.
Here are the relevant dates that players will have to know:
- End of Service Announcement (This Notice) 10/12/2022 07:00 UTC
- Shinra Credits Removed from Shop (Same Time as This Notice) 10/12/2022 07:00 UTC – Shinra Credits in your possession can be used until service ends.
- Support for Non-English Languages Ends 11/1/2022 02:00 UTC – Text will be displayed in English after this time.
- End of Service 1/11/2023 (Wed.) 07:00 UTC – We will continue to update in-game events until service ends.
Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier first launched on November 17, 2021 for iOS and Android devices.
