Magic: The Gathering ‘The One Ring’ Card Purchased by Post Malone
After a lucky pull by an unsuspecting collector back in June, Magic: The Gathering’s “The One Ring” card has now been sold to rapper Post Malone.
As posted by Joshua Brook, he says that it is a dream come true to both meet and have Post Malone be the one buying the card from him. Trafton also posted a short video on his social media accounts, showing a clip of how it all went down as he met with and closed the deal with the hugely popular rapper.
“When I found the One Ring, the first person who came to mind was @postmalone I have played MTG since I was a kid and obviously it would be amazing to keep this card,” Brook says. “But for a guy like me, being able to sell it is life-changing. I just really hoped it would go to someone who would appreciate it as much as I do.”
As per a report from Polygon back in June, the card was said to have been “placed the card in a bank vault, secured legal representation, and then arranged for the card to be graded by PSA.” While the pull was made by someone that was previously anonymous, his identity has now been uncovered.
It is unknown how much Post Malone purchased “The One Ring” for, but the unique collectible was going for a price of at least $2 Million as offered by a Spanish game store.
Post Malone is a hugely popular American Rapper known for hits like Congratulations and Sunflower, the latter of which was featured as a track in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse from 2018.
