SEGA has announced that Sonic Superstars, the brand-new high-speed action game that combines the classic feel of the 2D side-scrolling Sonic series with crisp 3D graphics, is launching on October 17, 2023.

A new trailer was revealed for the game, providing a look at the local four-player co-op and the online battle modes, making it the first title in the series to feature local multiplayer.

An Asia Limited Edition was also revealed and will include limited-edition physical items that true fans will appreciate.

The Sonic Superstars Asia Limited Edition will include:

• Base game (Physical Edition Only)
• An exclusive 80mm figure of Sonic the Hedgehog alongside the Chaos Emeralds.
• A 150mm x 105mm acrylic stand featuring the key visual of Sonic Superstars.
• A 170mm x 210mm reproduction artwork showcasing an illustration of the original Sonic the Hedgehog, personally signed by Takashi Iizuka, the Sonic series’ general producer, and Naoto Ohshima, the character designer of the original Sonic the Hedgehog. The artwork is elegantly encased in a wooden frame.

As a limited bonus, a LEGO Eggman character skin will be attached to digital pre-orders and purchases of physical copies of the game.

A Digital Deluxe edition of the game is also available, and will include:

• Base game
• LEGO Fun Pack (character skins for Tails, Amy, and Knuckles + additional battle
  stages)
• Extra Content Packs (Rabbit Character Skin, Mech Sonic Custom Parts, Menu Screen
  Wallpapers)
• Digital Artbook & Digital Mini-OST (an app where illustrations, concept art, and stage
  music can be enjoyed)

Sonic Superstars is launching on October 17, 2023.
