Fighting game fans are also in for a treat as Granblue Fantasy’s foray into the fighting genre is back with the updated Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.

It’s also no surprise such an amazing fighting game will be getting heaps of support in the future, along with one very surprising collaboration.

New characters

This latest installment already contains the vanilla game’s DLC characters from the get-go, but you can bet there’s room for a few more with Granblue Fantasy’s wide selection of characters.

Joining the current roster is Lucilius, a character with some connections to Belial.

In addition, two more will eventually join the roster in the form of Vane and Beatrix. Fans will know these two as the addition of the former completes the famous Dragon Knights consisting of Percival, Lancelot, Siegfried, and Vane.

And then there’s the beautiful Beatrix who forms a powerful duo with Zeta.

2B Joins the fight

This is the announcement nobody saw coming, and what an amazing surprise it was.  After squaring off in a tale of souls and swords in Soul Calibur VI, Nier: Automata’s famous combat android 2B joins the roster as a guest DLC character.

Avatars and Cosmetics

Here are a couple of goodies that you can use outside of fighting. Premium avatars of Lucilius and 2B can be used in Versus Rising!

In addition to that to celebrate the collaboration between Granblue Fantasy and Nier: Automata, players of the Granblue Fantasy mobile game will be able to obtain cosmetics based on Automata’s main protagonists 2B and 9S which can be used on Djeeta and Gran respectively.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is now available on PS4, PS5, and PC.
