Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Takes Over Shibuya ZeroBase in Explosive Launch Event

Prepare for the drop as Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is now available worldwide on iOS and Android devices, and to celebrate the global release of the game, a launch party was held in the heart of Shibuya to the tune of great company and awesome prizes fitting for the momentous occasion.

Draped in a black and white motif and suited up with a gigantic banner of Ghost, ZeroBase in Shibuya was ground zero for the Southeast Asian launch, where media from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines took part in the festivities.

Greeting everyone at the venue was Captain Price, who welcomed the attendees to a memorable night with fun activities. Giant gacha machines were on board and ready to award lucky attendees with exciting prizes, which included apparel, charging devices, and even a suspicious piece of clothing that would surely raise an alert level or two.

A brief presentation was shown, highlighting the massive number of pre-registrations for the game, totaling over 50 million, making it one of the biggest mobile launches for the brand and the company.

Chris Plummer, co-head of mobile at Activision, opened things up with a short message, thanking fans from around the world and in the Southeast Asian region for making Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, the latest world-class Call of Duty experience, as anticipated as it is.

“We can’t wait for everyone to dive in and experience it for themselves,” says Palmer, as he highlights the various day one content available for the game. “We have the best fans in the world, especially those in Southeast Asia, and we really hope you guys will enjoy the game.”

The attendees also took part in a game of quickdraw, where the fastest hands and reflexes, both of which are extremely important to survive battles in Verdansk, won special prizes.

Additionally, a game launch wouldn’t be complete without trying out the game, and what better way to do that than in the special limited edition Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile-themed Backbone Game Controllers, which are now available in partnership with select retailers in the United States.

Antoine Pinto, ex-kickboxer and esports player, along with Mark Mugen, half-Filipino professional MMA fighter, both provided words of excitement for the launch of the game, also revealing their involvement in an upcoming trailer.

Well-renowned cosplayer from the Philippines, Myrtle, also shared a few words about the launch of the game, stating her excitement as she invites viewers to watch as she streams Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile live on her channel.

Overall, it was a night of great fun and excitement for everyone. The atmosphere was lively, and while everyone was buzzing due to the event, the star of the night was certainly the worldwide launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
