During its latest earnings call, Sony announced that Helldivers 2 has sold over 12 million units across PS5 and PC since its launch, breaking a sales record previously held by God of War Ragnarok.

God of War Ragnarok sold 11 million copies last year, which has now been eclipsed by Helldivers around the world, hell-bent on spreading democracy.

Arrowhead Game Studios CEO expressed his gratitude on X, thanking the community for the massive achievement.

“A massive thank you to the community for your support, passion and dedication in the fight for democracy!”

“It’s crazy to think that there are more Helldivers than there are Swedes.”

During the earnings call, Sony also announced that the PS5 has now shipped 59.3 million units worldwide.
