Capcom has announced that Terry Bogard will be joining the Street Fighter 6 Roster on September 24, 2024, on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
Terry is the first-ever guest character to join the Street Fighter series, and will be playable across all three games modes in Street Fighter 6, including Fighting Ground and Battle Hub, as well as being the newest Master in World Tour’s Metro City.
Here’s a quick look at Terry’s moves in Street Fighter 6:
- Power Wave – slams his fist into the ground to release a ground-hugging energy wave, allowing him to keep distant enemies in check. When performed with the Hadouken command + Heavy Punch button, it becomes a move called ‘Round Wave.’ The move’s actions and properties vary depending on the strength of the punch button, adding an extra layer of strategy to the fight.
- Quick Burn – Terry unleashes two consecutive punches—a hook followed by a downward strike—while enveloping his fists with energy. The second hit cannot be blocked with a crouching guard, making it effective for breaking through defenses.
- Power Charge – a quick rush attack that slams into the opponent
- Rising Tackle – a spinning upward move that works well as an anti-air technique.
- Buster Wolf – a powerful advance with a thrust followed by an explosive energy projectile. This move has a fast startup and includes invincibility during activation, making it effective for counterattacks.
- Power Geyser – unleashes a flashy explosion that sends the opponent flying. Upon hitting the opponent, it consumes three Drive Gauge bars and can evolve into ‘Twin Geyser.’ After the hit, you can further spend one Super Art Gauge to perform ‘Triple Geyser,’ ensuring substantial damage to the opponent.
- Rising Fang – a series of attacks showcasing his iconic moves. It launches the opponent into the air and delivers a powerful energy-infused punch, making it a spectacular move fitting for a Level 3 Super Art.
Alongside Terry, a new stage and outfit will also debut.
Terry’s Outfit 2, inspired by his brown jacket and jeans from the latest entry in the Fatal Fury
series, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, is also making an appearance. You can either
strengthen your bond with him to the MAX in the World Tour or obtain it using Fighter Coins.
In the familiar ‘Pao Pao Café 6’ from the Fatal Fury series, you might even spot other SNK characters!
