Nintendo has officially announced the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, which is set to launch in 2025.
The announcement was made through a first-look trailer introducing the new hardware and highlighting its features.
Nintendo Switch 2 Details
The Nintendo Switch 2 is the successor to the ultra-popular Switch system. This successor will support both exclusive Switch 2 games and existing Switch games, both physical and digital. However, certain Nintendo Switch games may not be fully compatible with the new system.
The Nintendo Switch 2 will feature a larger screen, magnetic Joy-cons that seemingly can act as a mouse, and a new dock. Nintendo released no specific details, so we’ll have to wait for more updates at a later date.
Nintendo has also revealed plans for a Nintendo Direct event scheduled for April 2, 2025, which will provide more details about the new console and its capabilities.






Additionally, Nintendo will host Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events in various cities around the world, allowing consumers to get hands-on with the new console. These events will take place in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Tokyo, and more.
