2K and Gearbox Software have announced that Borderlands 4 will be released on September 12, 2025.

Originally scheduled to launch on September 23, the companies are set to launch two weeks earlier, leaving Bungie’s Marathon to solo launch on the 23rd.

Additionally, Sony has announced that it will be having a dedicated State of Play for the game on April 30. This event will feature over 20 minutes of developer-guided gameplay, showcasing missions, killer weapons, exciting Action Skills, new and returning characters, and more.
