Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia and Square Enix have announced that SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered is getting a Nintendo Switch physical edition for Southeast Asia on June 5, 2025.
The enhanced version of the beloved 1999 RPG lets players experience the intertwined fates of Gustave, a royal heir caught in a struggle for power, and Wil, a fledgling excavator confronting a hidden world-threatening danger, with fully enhanced HD visuals, a revamped UI, enhanced gameplay systems, new post-end-game content, and more.ย
SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered Features
Here’s what to expect from the game:
- Fully Enhanced HD Visualsย โ The gameโs signature warm watercolor-style graphics and are more defined and vibrant, and original character sprites are upscaled for modern resolutions. New sprites have been prepared for characters who did not have unique sprites in the original game.ย
- Revamped UIย โ History Choice, chronology, a revamped screen layout and a multitude of other gameplay systems have been reconstructed to facilitate more intuitive and comfortable gameplay.ย
- Brand-New Story Contentย โ Under the supervision ofย SaGaย Franchise General Director Akitoshi Kawazu, Benny Matsuyama introduces new story events that provide additional insight into the events ofย SaGa Frontier 2.ย
