Black Ops 7 Will not Bring Over Skins From Black Ops 6
In a nutshell
- Black Ops 7 resets cosmetic progression: Operators, Skins, and Weapons from Black Ops 6 won’t carry forward, though Double XP tokens and GobbleGums will; Warzone content remains untouched.
- RICOCHET anti-cheat gets a major upgrade: PC players must enable Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 by November 14, with new detection tools rolling out during the Beta.
- Multiplayer reveal drops September 30, with Early Access Beta on October 2 and Open Beta from October 5–8; expect refined movement, Zombies revamp, unified progression, and Classic Prestige.
Activision has announced a major community update ahead of the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which aims to set expectations of what players can expect as the series attempts to return to its roots.

Black Ops 7 Carry Forward Details
Perhaps the most controversial move is that Black Ops 6 Operators, Skins, and Weapons won’t carry forward into Black Ops 7. Activision states that this reset is necessary to preserve the authenticity of the new setting. However, Double XP tokens and GobbleGums will still transfer, and Warzone content remains unaffected.
Additionally, Black Ops 7 is looking to implement stricter anti-cheat protocols. Starting November 14, PC players must enable Secure Boot and TPM 2.0, which will give the RICOCHET system deeper access to block cheats at the system level. New detection tools will also be tested during the Beta and fully deployed at launch.

Activision is set to reveal its full multiplayer reveal on September 30, with an early access beta launching on October 2 and an open beta available from October 5 to 8 across all platforms.
More information is coming soon regarding the following:
- Refined movement and moment-to-moment combat improvements
- New Zombies content featuring the Wonder Vehicle and a Dark Aether twist on the original crew
- Unified progression across Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies
- Return of Classic Prestige and Weapon Prestige
- Weekly Challenges and expanded camo unlocks

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches on November 14 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
