Assassin’s Creed Shadows Launches December 2 for Switch 2

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is launching on December 2, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch 2 and will retail for $59.99.
Cross-progression will be available on Ubisoft Connect, allowing players to pick up where they left off. The Switch 2 version will also have all the recent updates and free content drops, except for the “Claws of Awaji” expansion that will come later in the new year.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Roadmap Revealed
Alongside the announcement, the content roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows was also revealed, which includes the following updates:
Title Update 10 arrives October 28 with Parkour Update 2, introducing an “Advanced Parkour” toggle that removes movement barriers and enables enhanced ejects and ledge grabs, plus a new beam jump mechanic. The same day, the seasonal Corrupted Castles activity launches, transforming completed castles into anomaly-filled challenges with Samurai Daisho encounters and reward chests.
Title Update 11 lands November 25, featuring the third free story drop, “A Puzzlement.” This lighthearted quest revisits Naoe’s past and introduces new skills for both protagonists, along with a detailed environmental puzzle tied to community lore. The update also includes a special collaboration and holiday-themed freebies.
