007 First Light Switch 2 Delay Announced
In a nutshell
- Switch 2 release delayed: 007 First Light will arrive later this summer.
- Other platforms unaffected: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC launch on May 27, 2026.
- Star-studded cast: Patrick Gibson as Bond, Gemma Chan as Dr. Selina Tan, and Lenny Kravitz as villain Bawma.
IO Interactive has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light has been pushed back to later this summer.
In the statement released, the developer emphasized its commitment to delivering the “best game experience possible” across all platforms.
“We’re excited to see players discovering James Bond’s reimagined origin story, and we are looking forward to bringing you the best game experience possible across all platforms.”
While no exact reason has been given for the delay, it’s reasonable to assume performance on the Switch 2 is the main culprit. The launch on the other systems has not been delayed, so players can still look forward to experiencing it on other platforms.
