Let’s Unbox The Adventures of Elliott: The Millennium Tales Collector’s Edition
Square Enix’s The Adventures of Elliott: The Millennium Tales is the latest title to take on the HD-2D art style, bringing old-school action-RPG gameplay to the forefront. It’s a great game, and our review praises the way it takes inspiration and adds its own twist to the formula.
That said, it’s great that we get a Collector’s Edition to celebrate its release!
Let’s Unbox The Adventures of Elliott: The Millennium Tales Collector’s Edition
The Adventures of Elliott: The Millennium Tales Collector’s Edition is reminiscent of what you would expect from other Square Enix CE’s, giving players goodies such as
- Base Game
- In-game Items
- Departure Brooch accessory – increases currency and magicite fragment drops
- Attack Up sword Magicite – boosts Elliot’s offensive power
- Fairy Bangle accessory
- Cherry Blossom Anklet accessory
- Roselle Ring accessory
- 4-Disc Original Soundtrack
- Desk Clock Statue

First off, let’s check out the full spread of items, featuring the Day 1 Edition of the game, download vouchers inside the game box, the soundtrack, a canvas bag, and an Elliott and Faie-designed box.

Soundtracks are often overlooked nowadays because of the convenience of digital files, but this 4-disc package is certainly welcome, as The Adventures of Elliott: The Millennium Tales features great tracks that merit a listen.

Next, we have the box that houses the desk clock. There are Elliott and Faie sketches on the sides, but the box feels quite plain and could have been improved, especially since the artwork in the game is very pretty.

Opening the box, we get to see the centerpiece of the Collector’s Edition, which is the Desk Clock.

Looking up close, we see the adorable Faie sitting atop Elliott’s red fedora.

Faie’s model is moderately designed, with some details on her wings and clothing. The rest of the desk clock is also moderately detailed, with some leaves on the side and embossed text on the bottom that reads “Hope is Always There.”

And then we have the clock, which isn’t just a clock by design, because it actually works! While it could be argued that the colors of the hands make it a bit hard to read, the fact that it actually works makes its value even better.

Sliding it around, there’s a panel that can be opened to reveal where the battery can be placed.

While light on actual collectibles compared to others, The Adventures of Elliott: The Millennium Tales Collector’s Edition is a decent enough package for a great game. It’s a surprising departure from the usual Acrylic figures Square Enix often provides, and an actual, usable, working desk clock that doesn’t look half bad is a great way to add value.
The Adventures of Elliott: The Millennium Tales is now available on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC.
