Final Fantasy XIV Coming to Xbox in Spring 2024
During the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2023 in Las Vegas, Xbox Boss Phil Spencer joined Yoshi-P on stage to announce that Final Fantasy XIV is coming to Xbox in Spring 2024.
The hugely popular MMORPG is finally headed to the Xbox Series S and X after years of questions and clamor from fans, and the debut will happen in time for the launch of the new expansion, Dawntrail.
With 4K support on Xbox Series X and faster loading, more players will finally get to try out the game.
Additionally, Phil Spencer promised to partner with Square Enix more closely together in the future, saying that he sees this as a “seminal moment in our relationship with Square Enix and the Final Fantasy team.” Square Enix CEO Takashi Kiryu joins Spencer and Yoshi-P on stage to share a few words as well.
Kiryu says that “This is a project that wouldn’t have been possible without Phil’s support,” and is excited that Final Fantasy XIV will be welcoming new Warriors of Light as the game gets bigger and better.
Kiryu also adds that “starting with today’s announcement of Final Fantasy XIV coming in spring 2024, and whenever possible, we are planning to bring our games to Xbox for players around the world to enjoy. We’re really looking forward to working closely with Phil and the Xbox team to make this possible.”
Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PS4, PS5, and PC, and is coming to Xbox in Spring 2024.
