Activision has just released open beta details for its next Call of Duty title, Black Ops Cold War and it starts as early as October 8 for those who have pre-ordered their digital copies.
In a lengthy post over at the Activision Blog, there will be 2 weekends of availability, with the first weekend exclusive to PlayStation owners and the second for a crossplay experience, available across all platforms.

Weekend 1 (PlayStation Exclusive)
- October 8-9 early access for PlayStation 4 players who have pre-ordered the game.
- October 10-12 will be free for all PlayStation 4 players.
Weekend 2 (Crossplay)
- October 15-16 will be for Xbox and PC pre-orders and open access for all PlayStation 4 players.
- October 17-19 will be open for all players across all platforms.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will support cross-platform and cross-generation play as well as cross-progression, ensuring that whenever you decide to jump in on the action.
Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and is scheduled to release on November 13.
