Diablo IV Early Access and Open Beta – All You Need to Know
As the Diablo IV Early Access and Open Beta draw ever closer, here’s everything you need to know to prepare yourself to battle the forces of hell.
Diablo IV Open Beta – All You Need to Know
Players that have pre-purchased Diablo IV will get to play a chunk of the game during its Early Access phase, which will take place from March 17-19. An open beta, which will be available to everyone, will run from March 24-26. Console couch co-op and 4-player co-op will be available during these times.
Early Download for the Early Access begins on March 16 at 12 AM SGT (GMT +8). Early download for the Open Beta will begin on March 23 at 12 AM SGT (GMT +8).
For players that have pre-purchased the game digitally, no further action is required to be able to access the beta. As for those with a beta early access code, you may follow the steps below to redeem it:
- Go to diablo.com/beta and log in or create your Battle.net account.
- Enter your code and select your gaming platform and region (if applicable) from the drop-down menu.
- Be sure to check your selections before clicking the Redeem button.
- A success page will confirm that your code was valid and claimed to the account.
- For PC players, your account will be flagged for access right away.
- For console players, a platform-specific code to download the Beta will be emailed to the address associated with your Battle.net account closer to the start of Early Access.
During these periods, players will be able to access the Prologue and the entirety of Act I and will be able to level up their character until level 25. Players will enter the snow-laden Fractured Peaks where they can find Kyovashad, a safe zone in the mountains, and many Side Quests along the way. The Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer classes will be available during Early Access, while the Druid and Necromancer will be added during Open Beta.
Players will also be able to go toe to toe with Ashava, the world boss for the Early Access and Open Beta. Grab some friends to challenge her on March 18 and March 25 at 10 AM, 12 PM, 10 PM, and midnight PDT.
By playing through the Diablo IV Early Access and Open Beta, players can earn unlock three rewards that can be used once the game launches.
- Initial Casualty Title: earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character.
