Echoes of Mana is a free to play action RPG coming to mobile devices in 2022
During the 30th Anniversary steam of the Mana Series over the weekend, Square Enix have announced that a new Mana game will be releasing for mobile devices next year. Entitled Echoes of Mana, the game will be developed by WFS and will be a free to play action RPG with in-game purchases.
You can check out the announcement trailer below:
Echoes of Mana will feature an original story that weaves together both new and beloved Mana series characters alike. Players will be able to enjoy the action gameplay they love from the series, and battle with friends through a multiplayer mode.
In other mobile news, the recently released Trials of Mana remake will be making its way to mobile devices next month, July 15. The game will retail for $23.99 and will be available on the iOS App Store and Google Play.
This mobile adaptation will feature mobile-specific controls with quality of life upgrades such as auto-target, auto-camera, and auto-battle.
Square Enix have also confirmed that a new Mana game for consoles is in development and that the team is working on it. Although this is certainly good news, fans may have to wait quite a bit since there’s still so much work to be done for it, but hopefully fans can look forward to an announcement soon.
Producer Masaru Oyamanda confirmed as much (via Gematsu), saying that “We wanted to announce it by running a cool trailer, but we’re only at the start of the 30th anniversary. But we are in fact developing [a new title], but please wait a little while longer until the proper announcement. Although we did have [Mana series creator Koichi Ishii] take a look at it a little bit ago. We’re at that level [of development], so please look forward to it. Development still has some way to go… We are developing for console, so I hope you can look forward to it.”
Lots of exciting stuff to look forward to for Mana fans!
