Genshin Impact’s massive v2.0 update adds Inazuma and cross-saves
Following the launch of the Outworld Traveler event in Honkai Impact that sees Fischl and Keqing make an appearance, miHoYo have revealed that its massive v2.0 update for Genshin Impact will go live on July 21.
The update, entitled “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia”, will bring the brand-new Inazuma Region, ruled by the Electro Archon and has nurtured completely different cultures, creatures, and mysteries.
Inazuma is surrounded by the sea on all sides and consists of six main islands, often accompanied by a strong sea breeze and thunderstorms. Although Inazuma is greatly affected by fleeting lightning and the Electro element, the Electro Archon who rules the area has turned to the pursuit of eternity.
Genshin Impact v2.0 will bring 3 new playable characters – Kamisato Ayaka, the daughter of the Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan, and a 5-star cryo sword user; Yoimiya, known as the “Queen of the Summer Festival”, and is a 5-star Pyro Archer; and Sayu, a 4-star ninja character who wields an Anemo Vision and a giant claymore.
In true Genshin Impact form, these new characters will be voiced by top caliber VA’s, as with the rest of the cast. Yoimiya is voiced by Kana Ueda, whose notable performances include Rin Tosaka from the Fate series and Kinon from Gurren Lagann. Kamisato Ayaka is voiced by Hayami Saori, the voice behind Kunimitsu from Tekken 7 and Sachi from Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. Lastly, Sayu is voiced by Suzaki Aya, who is Xianghua from Soul Calibur VI and Elphelt Valentine from Guilty Gear Xrd
Alongside the new characters, one of the most requested features is finally making its way to the game. In the v2.0 update, the cross-save function across PlayStation, PC, and Mobile will finally be implemented.
Genshin Impact v2.0, “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia”, will go live on July 21 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Mobile Devices.
