Genshin Impact and marriage proposals are probably the last things you’d expect to have some kind of connection, but thanks to an amazing effort, the game became the site of a heartfelt marriage proposal of two star-crossed players.

Genshin Impact Marriage Proposal Story

To make a long story short, Jerome Javillonar from the Philippines proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Ronica Pilar Mejica Cabansag, using Genshin Impact’s recently added Serenity Teapot feature. It is their favorite game, and in a very elaborate setup that took almost a month to put together, Jerome guided his girlfriend throughout his meticulous creation filled with obstacles and lovely decorations.

This isn’t just a sightseeing tour as you may be thinking, and there were messages scattered around…

Forever is real with you

The clincher, of course, is the last bit of the message, which promptly asks “Will you be my Waifu?” to which she happily said yes!

Ronica knows her boyfriend to be an introvert who doesn’t even display public affection, so she was really surprised to be asked by Jerome to visit. What she thought was a simple invitation turned out to be the start of the next chapter of her life.

You can definitely tell she’s very proud of her husband-to-be. And to top it all off they even got an in-game picture of themselves using their favorite Genshin Impact characters Zhongli and Hu Tao.
