The Outriders demo is now available with 10 reasons to go ahead and play it

The Outriders demo is now available to download and if we don’t already have enough reasons to play it yet, Square Enix and People Can Fly has released a demo trailer showcasing more information on what we can expect.

Check out the comprehensive 8-minute trailer below. Long story short, it’s looking good and we’re definitely excited for it!

For a quick rundown, here’s what we already know – the save data of the said demo will be transferable to the full version, the first chapter (prologue) of the game will be fully playable, all classes will be available, and crossplay between platforms on multiplayer will be possible up to three people to a squad via matchmaking.

Outriders will also be giving current-gen console owners a free next-gen upgrade, allowing for save transfers as well.

Based on the trailer, we can speculate that player level would most likely cap between 8-10 as since power levels are locked after the fourth power. Given that this is around a 3 hour demo, checking out another class could extend playtime from 3+ hours to 12-15.

Combat has been described closer to a boomer shooter like Doom Eternal and Control rather than a cover-shooter like Call of Duty and Gears of War. You could see that with the powers utilized combined with the selection of firepower.

The Outriders demo is out now, while the full game will release on April 1 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia.
