A report from Washington Post with PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan has all but confirmed that the PS5 will support “99%” of the games from its predecessor.
“The PS4 community will continue to be incredibly important to us for three or four years. Many will transition to PS5, we hope if we do our job well, but tens of millions will still be engaged with the PS4.”
In addition, the company has also announced a new service for PS Plus subscribers called the PS Plus Collection which will offer 18 PS4 first-party titles for download. The new service makes games like The Last of Us Remastered, Persona 5, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and Detroit: Become Human, to name a few, available for download for the PlayStation 5.
Seeing the titles from the PlayStation 4 with the upgraded graphics of the PlayStation 5 will be very exciting, and with 99% the PS4 titles supported, it makes an upgrade look very enticing.
