Pokemon Sword and Shield first expansion scheduled for June 17

Pokemon fans will have something to get excited about as the Isle of Armor DLC has now been slated for a June 17 release date.

You can check out the trailer below for some of the things you’ll be able to see and do when the expansion hits:

In the expansion, expect Gigantamax forms for your starter Pokemon as well as the return of some of the Pokemon that were cut from Sword and Shield like Squirtle and Bulbasaur, each with their own Gigantamax forms as well.

The Crown Tundra will soon follow in the Fall and will include Galarian forms of various Pokemon, including Slowbro and legendaries like Zapdos and Articuno.

You are free to still obtain the new Pokemon that comes with the update even if you don’t get the DLC but you’ll have to obtain them through trading or another method. Also, there is a separate expansion for Sword and another one for Shield, so don’t forget to purchase the correct DLC if you haven’t yet!
