VALORANT Episode 5 Act 1 – Battle Pass, Pearl Map, and Prelude to Chaos Bundle Details
VALORANT Episode 5 Act 1 goes live on June 22 and with it, a host of updates such as a new map, a new battle pass, and a new bundle that gives off some dark and edgy vibe.
VALORANT Episode 5 Act 1 – Battle Pass
Riot wanted to create a thematic that was both powerful and dynamic for the skinlines in the battle pass. “Shimmer is a sparkling skinline with enough variants to fit perfectly into any collection. Spitfire is our artistic take on those players who just press W and want their weapons to reflect that as well” says Producer Laura Baltzer. Finally, Task Force 809 is a tactical, sleek skinline with an assassin knife that will hopefully make those calculated backstabs intensely satisfying.”
The Battle pass will cost 1,000 VP and will include the following:
Free Highlights:
- Shimmer Classic
- Operation: Vacation Player Card
- That’s a Blowout Spray
- Perfect Pattern Gun Buddy
Paid Highlights:
- Task Force 809 Knife
- Task Force 809 Phantom
- Spitfire Operator
- Enter the Duelists Player Card
- Never Forget Leg Day Spray
- Cat Tactics Gun Buddy
VALORANT Episode 5 Act 1 – Pearl Map
Pearl is the 8th map for the game and is the first one set on Omega Earth. There are no mechanics like teleporters, ascenders, or doors, just a three-lane map with small mid and long-range wings for some intense head-to-head action.
“After Icebox, Breeze, and Fracture, we wanted to make a map that was a little more straightforward. Pearl demands committed engagements, without the rotation and mobility support of doors, ascenders, or teleporters. What you get is something deceptively simple, strategically speaking.” says Level Designer Joe Lansford.
