Xenoblade Chronicles 3 announced for September 2022
As the final announcement for today’s jam-packed Nintendo Direct, Monolith Soft and Nintendo have announced Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the Switch and will release in September 2022.
Other than a glorious trailer, details are scarce about the upcoming installment, but it is said that the game will tie together the future of worlds of both the first and second releases.

Apart from the more polished visuals compared to the previous releases, we’re hoping that the game will also run well on the Switch. Fans have long speculated that an announcement was incoming and while it isn’t the one some people were hoping for (coughXcough), Nintendo has indeed delivered the goods yet again.
Masatsugu Saito, who designed characters for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, designed the characters for this latest release. Another familiar name is Koichi Mugitani, who is responsible for some of the key artwork in this latest installment. Yasunori Mitsuda takes the helm as composer.
