New datamine for Marvel’s Avengers reveals 15 new characters including Dr. Strange and Captain Marvel
If you thought the launch lineup of Marvel’s Avengers was a bit too paltry for your taste, well there’s apparently a lot to look out for if this datamine is proven to be true.
A total of 15 unannounced characters have been seen by dataminers during the Marvel’s Avengers beta and it involves a wide range of characters that is sure to give the fans a treat.
The initial datamine seen on the Marvel’s Avengers Subreddit by u/6plus4equals52 pointed to Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, Kate Bishop, War Machine, and Peter Parker obviously being the now confirmed PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man. The datamine explained that these heroes appeared on what the game calls “Challenge Cards”, basically battle passes for each of these heroes, which imply that they will be playable.
The second datamine by the same user rounds up the roster to a full list, even with mentions of other characters like Ultron. Check out the list below:
Unannounced Playable Characters:
- Ant Man
- Wasp
- Vision
- Black Panther
- Dr Strange
- Falcon
- Mar-Vell
- Mockingbird
- Quake
- Winter Soldier
- Scarlet Witch
- Captain Marvel
- Kate Bishop
- She Hulk
- War Machine
Other Character Mentions:
- Frenzy (Probably an enemy class)
- Ultron
- Red Hulk
- Deathlok
- Vindicator
- Monica
That looks like a pretty impressive list already, but there are details which we don’t know of for now, like if these characters will be a free DLC like Hawkeye or whether they will be included in Season Passes of some sort. Surely we’ll know more about this as soon as Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix officially announce their post-launch plans.
If you’re unsure about the game, you have one last chance to try out the open beta on the 21st of August and if you’re playing on the PlayStation 4, you can expect a lot of exclusive content coming your way once the game launches on September 4.
