Sam Fisher is back. Sort of.

In a new trailer, Ubisoft has confirmed that Splinter Cell Icon Sam Fisher will now make his way to Rainbow Six Siege as the next operator for the upcoming event entitled ‘Operation Shadow Legacy’. While no other details have been given, the full reveal for the event is supposedly scheduled on August 16 during the North American Mini Major Finals.

Splinter Cell fans may have to wait a wee bit longer, as Ubisoft seemingly has plans to put in Fisher in multiple properties other than Splinter Cell itself but all of this talk of Sam Fisher may be the start of a resurgence, and maybe Ubisoft is simply priming us up for the big announcement.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
