Yakuza: Like a Dragon PS4 save data will not carry over to PS5
As was recently confirmed that the PlayStation 5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will launch in March 2021, another tidbit was just confirmed and it’s not a particularly good one at that. Early PS4 adopters of the game on November 10 should know that your Yakuza: Like a Dragon PS4 save data will not carry over to PS5, even though you will be receiving a free next-gen upgrade.
This comes from RGG Studio themselves, so you can expect it to be as official as official can be.
After the Spider-Man: Remastered debacle, this is the second game that won’t offer the save data transfer for some reason. While others won’t mind, there is obviously a small population of people that will care and so far, it’s not a good look for Sony and the PS5.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon will launch on November 10 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. PlayStation 5 will follow on March 2, 2021.
