Riot Games Southeast Asia has formally appointed Mineski Philippines as the esports and gaming agency to roll out the esports for Valorant in the Philippines. In addition, Mineski Philippines was also appointed as the organizer of local Valorant collegiate tournaments.

This means we will see Valorant esports tournament through the Philippine Pro Gaming League (PPGL). These tournaments will also serve as the stepping stone to qualify for regional tournaments and represent the country. Mineski Philippines will also be enabling other tournament organizers to be involved in the nationwide Valorant roadmap through sub-licensing of other Valorant tournaments.

Mineski VxV community cup has also begun registration and will close on October 28, 2020. The nationwide open tournament will look to find the eight best Valorant teams who will advance to the Valorant First Strike: Philippines. Here, the eight teams will battle it out for the PHP 500,000 prize pool. Valorant First Strike: Philippines will take place on December 3.

While at the collegiate level, Mineski’s Youth Esports Program will be running official Valorant tournaments next school year. A national student Valorant tournament is being held currently in YEP’s National Interschool Cyber League with a prize pool of over PHP 150,000 and weekly broadcasts on the Youth Esports Program Facebook page.
