Previously Metal Slug Code: J, Tencent has officially unveiled the upcoming Metal Slug mobile game named Metal Slug Awakening, which is being developed by TiMi studio.

The classic and beloved title will now make its way from the arcades straight to your mobile devices as the game will have a closed beta test in June (as corrected by Ahmad) but will only be limited to China for now.

More info about Metal Slug Awakening will come soon, and we’re expecting this to open up to audiences outside of China, so keep your eyes peeled for that heavy machine gun sooner rather than later.
