Battlefield 2042 announces Xbox and NVIDIA as official partners
Battlefield 2042 is the franchise’s big bet for a comeback in the FPS space, and to ensure that it performs up to par, EA have announced its official partners which comprise of Microsoft, NVIDIA, Logitech, Polaris and Western Digital.
Although it isn’t exclusive to Xbox, Microsoft’s latest console will be Battlefield 2042’s official console partner while NVIDIA will be the official PC Graphics platform partner, making use of next-gen GeForce RTX gaming technologies, the AI-powered performance boost of NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex’s low latency mode.
Other partners include Logitech as the official PC Peripherals partner (for Logitech integration), Polaris as the official Off-road vehicles partner, and Western Digital’s WD_Black as the official gaming storage partner.
The next big Battlefield 2042 reveal will happen at EA Play Live, which is scheduled for July 23 in our timezone, which will reveal a brand-new game type, made as a love letter to Battlefield fans, and one that long-time players will feel right at home with.
Battlefield 2042 is available now for pre-order and will retail for $59.99 for PS4 and Xbox One, and $69.99 for PS5 and Xbox Series. A Gold and Ultimate Edition is also available, which will give players access as early as October 15.
