Elden Ring Is Currently One Of The Highest Rated Games On Metacritic And OpenCritic
Elden Ring will finally launch soon (tomorrow in the Philippines!) but as early as last night, critic reviews started pouring in and to no one’s surprise, the game has been getting rave reviews from absolutely EVERYONE. It’s almost a clean sweep across the board, with a few outliers here and there, so it would be safe to say that the game is indeed a strong contender for Game of the Year.
In fact, as of writing, the game is currently rated 97 on Metacritic (PS5 version across 45 reviews), joining the likes of such masterpieces as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Grand Theft Auto V, Soul Calibur, and Super Mario Odyssey. Only a handful of games are rated higher, making this latest effort by FromSoftware an essential experience.
Over at OpenCritic, Elden Ring is now rated at 96, a step down from its initial 97 score. Despite that, a score this high is no easy feat and is just further evidence that FromSoftware has indeed created something special.
