Fall Guys Goes Free-to-play, Coming to Switch and Xbox in June 2022
Mediatonic has announced that Fall Guys is going free to play on June 21, 2022. Even better, the game will also be launching on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series on the same day. A PlayStation 5 version will also be available on the same day, featuring faster load times and other performance upgrades.
Steam players will continue to receive updates moving forward, but the game will only be downloadable via the Epic Games store
To make a smooth transition, Fall Guys will support full cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms via the use of your Epic Games account, so players will be able to play with others regardless of the platform once this new update hits.
The devs also teased that a stage builder is also in development, but won’t release anytime soon, so we’ll have to wait for more updates about that.
Fall Guys Legacy Pack
Players who have purchased and played Fall Guys before June 21 will be awarded a Legacy Pack that contains a nickname, nameplate, the Regal costume, the Veggie Dog costume, the Feisty Dwarf costume, and a Season Pass for Season 1. Make sure to launch the game before June 21 to be eligible for the Legacy Pack!
Fall Guys Season 1 and Pre-registration
Speaking of Season 1, the game will feature a Season Pass which is another version of the free progression path that can be purchased with Show-Bucks, the new in-game currency. There will be 100 levels to unlock, with the ability to unlock the next season pass if you are already maxed out on the current one.
Interested players can pre-register to unlock special reward milestones like a Keen Bean Nameplate, 3,500 Kudos, and much more.
Will you be playing the game now that it’s free-to-play?
