Following the price increase of PlayStation 5 and a hefty introductory price for the upcoming Switch 2, Microsoft has announced a price increase for Xbox Series consoles, accessories, and even some first-party games.

The Xbox Series X will see a $100 increase, raising the price of its digital and disc drive versions from $449.99 and $499.99 to $549.99 and $599.99, respectively, equivalent to approximately 30,800 and 33,600 Philippine Pesos.

The Xbox Series S will also rise by $80, with the 512GB and 1TB models now priced at $379.99 and $429.99 USD, or roughly 21,250 PHP and 24,000 PHP.

Additionally, accessories across the Xbox lineup will be affected, and some first-party games will increase from $69.99 to $79.99 (about 4,480 PHP) ahead of the holiday season.

“We understand that these changes are challenging, and they were made with careful consideration given market conditions and the rising cost of development. Looking ahead, we continue to focus on offering more ways to play more games across any screen and ensuring value for Xbox players,” following a statement released by Microsoft.
