Team based shooter G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout announced for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC
Snake Eyes didn’t see this one coming.
By way of an exclusive reveal by IGN, G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout is a new G.I. Joe game that’s a third person shooter with team based mechanics and will feature “an 18-mission campaign in single-player or local split-screen co-op and a variety of PvP multiplayer modes,” like capture the flag, assault, and king of the hill.
Also according to IGN, the game will feature an original story based on the 80’s comics that has Duke, Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander, Destro, Roadblock, and Storm Shadow as confirmed playable characters, each having unique abilities and playstyles.
Right now, the game is looking rather decent, which is quite a surprise as the previous G.I. Joe outings did not do particularly well, so fans of the franchise and team based shooters may want to keep an eye out for this one.
The game will reportedly release on October 13 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
