Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will support Smart Delivery, Xbox owners will only have to purchase once
Smart Delivery, one of the most promising features of the Xbox Series X, will be on deck once again once Assassin’s Creed Valhalla comes out. Cyberpunk 2077 will allow Xbox One owners of the game to upgrade to the next generation version for free and this will be the same case for the upcoming offering from Ubisoft.
This has been confirmed by Twitter User Shinobi602 as well as a listing on Best Buy which states that “Smart Delivery technology means you can buy Assassin’s Creed Valhalla once, and play it on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X when both the console and that version are available”.
This is great news for Xbox users as it will save you more in the long run, no longer needing to purchase multiple copies of the same game across generations, and is a great sign of the future of gaming. Microsoft has assured the public that all first party Xbox Game Studio games will support this feature, giving importance to their consumer friendly direction since Phil Spencer took the reigns.
Sony has yet to announce the detailed features of the PlayStation 5 and we don’t know if it will have this same feature, so we’ll have to wait and see until the full reveal, which reportedly will be happening soon.
