MiHoYo’s Genshin Impact has now grossed over $100 Million in less than 2 weeks
Genshin Impact has been met with an unprecedented amount of success, especially for a game coming out from Chinese devs. Garnering over 17 million mobile downloads in its first 4 days, the number only keeps rising as MiHoYo’s Genshin Impact has now grossed over $100 Million in less than 2 weeks.
This comes from Niko Partners Senior Analyst Daniel Ahmad, who says that the top markets of the game include the US, China, Japan, and Korea, and has become the most successful launch for a Chinese developed original IP.
Additional information from App Annie reports that the game tallied 23 million global downloads in its first week, and was even ranked as the second most downloaded game in the US in September, with Among Us sitting at the top.
With this, Genshin has already recovered its reported $100 Miliion development and marketing budget, an amount evidenced by the content and level of polish that the game has, especially with its stacked Japanese voice acting cast.
The next Chinese developed game everybody should keep an eye on? Black Myth: Wukong.
