Mass Effect Legendary Edition officially set for a May 14 release
EA has finally confirmed the release date of the highly anticipated Mass Effect Legendary Edition since it was first announced late last year. Fans of the series won’t have to wait too long as Commander Sheperd and the crew will be dropping on May 14 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. PS5 and Xbox Series will get to play it via backwards compatibility and not through a dedicated next-gen port.
Along with the official announcement, a stunning new trailer has been revealed and it is absolutely glorious. Literal chills up my spine moment.
It has been reportedly delayed once before, due to improvements being made to the first game, and indeed the gameplay changes are significant, not just to the controls, but to the AI and quality of life improvements.
The game will be running at a smooth 4K 60fps clip but BioWare has confirmed that the game will not have Raytracing and instead will have real time reflections. Despite being compatible for the next-gen consoles, this release will not feature and DualSense features or Tempest 3D Audio for the PS5 and Quick Resume for the Xbox Series.
Here are some of the key highlights of the game from the official website:
