Sonic Colors Ultimate and a brand new Sonic game teased at Sonic Central 30th Anniversary Livestream
The Sonic Central livestream happened today at 9pm PDT featuring many announcements celebrating Sonic’s 30th Anniversary. There were different in-game collaborations in place to feature different Sonic skins at games like Two Point Hospital and Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Plus, the upcoming Lost Judgment game will feature Sonic Fighters as one of its in-game arcades.
Speaking of games, they announced a few remasters and remakes, including Sonic Colors Ultimate due out on September 7, 2021 (September 9 in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and Southeast Asia) and an upcoming Sonic Origins, which remasters the first three Sonic games coming soon. In-game Sonic celebrations and features are due for Sonic mobile games including Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces.
Sonic Colors Ultimate is a remaster of the 2010 original and will feature the characters and vibrant scenery of each area in refined high resolution. In addition, enjoy the soundtrack that includes the opening theme song –
“Reach for the Stars”, the BGM for each act and boss which has been revamped into a 2021 version, as well as remixes of the original game soundtrack.
Yet the biggest announcement on the Sonic Central livestream is the teaser trailer for a brand new Sonic game teased for 2022. It’s exciting what the Sonic Team has in store, so stay tuned for more details!
